Aeroseal Services by HCDC

Aeroseal is the most efficient way to seal Ducts – especially the inaccessible ones.

  • Reduces up to 90% duct leakage
  • Fixes pressurization issues
  • Decreases fan horsepower
  • Extends Equipment Life
  • Consumes Less Energy – Saving on Heating & Cooling Cost
  • Increased Comfort
  • Better IAQ (Indoor Air Quality
  • Most efficient way to save ailing Duct Systems
  • *Seals ANY type of Duct*

The process involves introducing a polymer sealant into the heating and cooling system that fills in holes, cracks and leaky seams preventing air from leaking out. The Aeroseal product starts in a liquid state and upon entering the Duct system is heated into a very fine micron state (Causing a haze or smoky appearance). This is not encapsulation because Aeroseal doesn’t coat the inside of duct systems. The system must be pressurized through manually capping all ends of the ducts as well as the capping from a chase and or AHU. All or any electronics must be disconnected, turned off and or covered. The Aeroseal systems measure the leakage prior to sealing and gives the customer an accurate data starting point of how many CFMs and or Total square inches of hole are through the run that is being pressurized. During the seal event a live line graph is produced to show the sealant increasing pressure of the duct system by closing up the leakage.

At the end of the seal event a certification of completion is generated by the Aeroseal systems showing the before and after data. (This can be emailed or printed).

Have Questions?

  • How often should I have my ducts cleaned?

A good rule of thumb is to clean your ducts every three to five years according to the National Air Duct Cleaning Association (NADCA).

  • Does air duct cleaning leave behind a mess?

At HCDC, we use 16,000 CFM power vacuum trucks. The vacuum power is strong enough to ensure that no dust or debris comes back into your home. The containments are pulled back into the truck- leaving no new mess behind.
